Here I am...Time to get on with the blog!

Since I'm closing down my website,  I decided I would start a blog here. I intend to continue supporting our deployed Warriors as long as there is even one troop in harm's way, with or without my web page. It has become too expensive to keep the page up and running; my money is better spent on items for care packages and for postage.

Today I put two care packages together to send to Afghanistan. One is full of homemade snickerdoodles, two bags of M&M's, a package of assorted greeting cards, and the local hometown newspaper. That one is going to a Soldier we've adopted before (more than once, even) from Ft. Carson. The other is full of Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate brownies with walnuts, and an American flag afghan, and it's going to a retired US Army SSG who is now in Afghanistan working as a civilian contractor. We had adopted her when she was deployed to Iraq a few years ago. She helps me with care packages and is like a sister to me, so how could I NOT send her good stuff from back home?

Since I need to get the labels put on my boxes, and customs forms filled out, I'm going to keep this short. I just figured it was time to do something with this blog, since I signed up awhile back and hadn't written anything yet.

This is a video I made awhile back, which is still relevant and comes straight from my heart. I do, indeed, appreciate each and every one of our Heroes in uniform!
